This project marked the beginning of my journey into photojournalism. I spent six months in Spiti Valley, deep in the Himalayas, documenting the everyday lives of Buddhist monks. Alongside photography, I taught English and mathematics to young monks and volunteered with the local community, building relationships that shaped both my work and perspective.

The experience taught me the profound power of visual storytelling, and how photography can capture not just images, but the essence of culture, faith, and resilience. I discovered that my camera could open doors, foster trust, and create genuine connections with strangers, transforming observation into understanding.
